ELM USB Car Diagnostic Tool

OBD-II Software for ELM327 USB is a free program that allows you to use your PC and a hardware interface to get the information from your car’s computer.

The program is very user-friendly, and easy to learn. It is also very easy to install: simply extract the files into a folder on your computer’s hard drive, and you’re ready to go. To uninstall the program, simply delete the entire contents of the folder where the program resides.

For android devices, download Torque application. Torque is a vehicle performance/ diagnostics tool and scanner that uses the Elm327 ObdII Bluetooth adapter to connect to your car’s ECU.

Torque allows you to see what your car is doing in real-time, get Obd fault codes, car performance from sensor data and much more. It can use the GPS to provide tracker logs with Obd engine logging so you can see what you were doing at any point in time and it can also show and clear check engine lights similar to how a scan tool would from a dealership. It will help you spot problems before they happen. Read diagnostic trouble codes, both generic and manufacturer-specific, and display their meaning (over 3000 generic code definitions in the database).

For your vehicle to be OBD II compliant it must have a 16-pin DLC (Data Link Connector) under the dash and the Vehicle Emission Control Information Label must state that the vehicle is OBD II compliant.
